Welcome to the January edition of news letter. This edition contains -

Events - December 2002

1. A session conducted on "Tips for preparation of CSQA exam" by Gururaj of Orbitech, Maneesha of Motorola, Adiki Venkatesh of Baan, Rameshchandra Ketharaju of Intergraph in Motorola Training hall.
2. HYDSPIN Annual meet was celebrated on 21st December in Kamat Lingapur hotel. About 100 members attended the annual meet.
   Invited guests Mr. Rajeevlal COO of Infotech, Mr. B Krishnamurthy VP Telecom Wireless divsion of Wipro Technologies, Mr. A V Ramam VP Outsourcing operations India of Baan addressed SPIN on Quality implementation in their respective organizations. Mr. Mukul Madan Sr.consultant of QAI addressed HYDSPIN members on Process improvement
   Awards were given away by the guests to winners of Best of best practices and Best news article. Mementoes were given to speakers in year 2002 and representatives of Best practice sharing. Certificates were given to Benchmarking Analysis group members and CSQA instructors.
   Annual meet was followed by lunch and the whole meet was started and ended on time.
   • Best of Best practices Judges poll was given to "Internal Communication" by Softpro, presented by Sasiprasad.
   • Best of Best practices - Audience poll was given to "Quantitative Risk Management" by Orbitech Solutions, presented by Sona Bhatia
   • Best news article - on "Process improvement" submitted by Lakshmi of Pramati Technologies
3. Benchmarking report was prepared and reviewed by HBSIG members.
