ACTIVITIES During the past few years Hyderabad SPIN has survived the various difficulties and hurdles normally expected for a professional non-profit organization. Despite the busy schedules and work pressures, the members of Hyderabad SPIN were able to meet and share their knowledge with fellow members. The target for HYDSPIN on number of sessions is 12 per year i.e. one session per month on an average. While the knowledge sharing session is the main purpose of HYDSPIN, there are other activities also are taken up for the benefit of Software Professionals.
 
The Overall activities include -
1. Knowledge Sharing sessions by experienced consultants/ Software Professionals - one session per month
2. Process Benchmarking & Metrics Benchmarking - conducted once in two years
3. SEPG Conference that includes Paper Presentations, Panel Discussions, Guest Lectures, Pre-Conference Tutorials - conducted once in two years
4. Best Practice Sharing from Software Organizations
5. Quality Workshop or Tools Workshop
6. Free CSQA/ CSTE knowledge sharing sessions to aspirants of the QAI exams
7. Six Sigma Green Belt Training & Six Sigma Black Belt Training - in collaboration with Acadamecians, Software Professionals & Consultants - one per year
8. Annual Day Celebrations on 2nd Saturday of every year.
 
 
HYDSPIN Annual Day:
At the end of the year, an annual meet is conducted in which summary of the events of the year are presented and a new coordinator is elected for next year. New/ Renewal of membership for the coming year is done the same day.
 
Following is the usual agenda of annual meet.
09:30 – 10:00 hrs : Registration for next year annual membership & Networking
10:00 – 10:15 hrs : Annual Report by Coordinator
10:15– 11:00 hrs : Guest Lecture
11:00 – 11:15 hrs : Coffe/Tea Break
11:15 – 12:15 hrs : Updates of the Mega event of the year (Benchmarking Results / or SEPG updates/ or Quality workshop or Tools workshop updates)
12:15 – 12:30 hrs : Presentation of Mementoes to speakers of the year, Certificates to CSQA/ CSTE faculty
12:30 – 12:45 hrs : Vote of Thanks by Coordinator
12:45 - 13:00 hrs: Selection of New SPIN Coordinator; Plans for Next Year by President of HYDSPIN
13:00 - 14:00 hrs : Annual Gala lunch
